A message from the Chief...

Since 1980, the men and women of Biggersville Fire & Rescue have committed to serve with dedication and professionalism. As a 100% volunteer agency, I am thankful for the group or people that make up our membership. Together, we form a family of individuals that work together and personify our motto “Our Family Protecting Yours”.

Whether we’re working to provide fire service—including basic life-saving Emergency Medical Services, Fire Suppression, Fire Investigation, and Fire Prevention—or striving to find innovative ways to improve our service both in and out of the stations, we will continue to apply our professional knowledge and resources to the same simple end: save lives and reduce the loss of property for the Biggersville community and greater Alcorn County area.

I encourage you to find out more about our department and learn how you can get involved! We are always welcoming new members. No experience is required to participate; we provide training and equipment. All we are looking for is an individual that wants to give back to their community, is willing to learn, and sacrifice a little time and lots of sweat for a wonderful cause.

My promise to you is that Biggersville Fire & Rescue will continue to provide efficient, quality service with the compassion and professionalism to all who interact with us. It’s why we suit up for work every day.

Chief Jonathan L. Rider
